THE WEEK AHEAD EMAIL
The Week Ahead is sent every Sunday evening to those who sign up to receive it! It will include everything that is happening at Gardner that week, and in the future. In addition, you’ll receive other emails with important updates that go out from the school. Click here to sign up! (As a disclosure, we will say that we are having lots of trouble with these emails delivering to Yahoo email addresses. If you have another one, we recommend you use that one instead.) THE FRIENDS OF GARDNER WEBSITE (yes, this one)
This website is updated regularly with calendar events and news and anything else of importance. So check back often!
SEESAW APP
If you have a student at Gardner, you should be automatically entered into the SeeSaw app. It’s the way that teachers and staff members communicate directly with classes. This may include information about projects or things needed for the classroom, or special events that your class is holding. It’s also a great way for you to communicate directly with your student's teacher. While you're automatically enrolled in the app, you still have to download it and create a password to use it. If you’re having any issues, please contact our front office or your teacher via their email address.
WHATSAPP
Every class at Gardner is connected on a class thread via WhatsApp and their own personal phone number. You are not at all required to join this parent thread, but it’s a way to get updates about your class, share invites to birthday parties, and other reminders from your room parents about things going on at Gardner. It’s a more casual, conversational way of communicating with other parents. You may even meet people this way! If you’re not in your class thread and wish to be, reach out to your room parent or email friendsofgardner@gmail.com.
FOG MEETINGS
Join us every third Thursday of the month (usually), at 8:30 AM for an in-person meeting in the auditorium. ALL parents are automatically members of Friends of Gardner and we hope you’ll come and hear about what’s going on and how you can be a part of it!
PARENT PORTAL & SCHOOLOGY
LAUSD asks that all parents register with the Parent Portal and Schoology. It’s how parents and students can check attendance, track assignments, grades, teacher feedback, turn in work and more. Your account will be yours for the remainder of your time in LAUSD. Click here for more information.
